Want to know what the NFL is going in the tank? It is the very same reason Donald Trump won the Presidency. To this throw away line about the NFL in a speech given by the President in Alabama Friday night Roger Goodell, NFL commissioner, and politically correct destroyer of NFL said this,
“The NFL and our players are at our best when we help create a sense of unity in our country and our culture,”
in response to this by the President,
“Wouldn’t you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, “Get that son of a b***h off the field right now! He is fired. He’s fired!”
Now, either Goodell is acting the fool because he is scared of the msm or he places political correctness above the owner’s interest, the fans and the game itself. He says, “…create a sense of unity…”, IS HE KIDDING ME? By condoning infantile behavior he is accomplishing the exact opposite. The people want to see what Trump said, they don’t want politics mixed with their entertainment, they will absolutely cheer the team and the owner who says to one of these overpaid ignoramuses, “Get that son of a b***h off the field right now! He is fired. He’s fired!”
And that is the reason Trump won the Presidency, he affirms regularly to the backbone of this country that they are right which is also the reason his base does not desert him and the reason the NFL is finished. Of course, the finish of the NFL is also coupled with the fact that they won’t let them play anymore and all the talk of brain injuries etc. but the rapid acceleration of the demise is directly tied to players who want notoriety more than a championship and owners who could care less about their fans, the game nor, apparently, the money. Let me sum it up in some bullet points:
- Football is a brutal game of strength on strength, as such men will get hurt playing.
- Men LOVE to play football.
- Women love to watch men play football.
- Let them play.
- Fans like to watch football as it is, for the most part, voluntary, bloodless war.
- The vast majority of football fans love their country.
- Players who protest are like traitors to the fans.
- Get rid of them and the equipment and save the game.
It seems to me there is only one conclusion that be drawn; Mr. Goodell, you, sir, are an idiot.
