Only 42 Million. Ho-hum.

Certainly this is a societal problem and certainly men share the responsibility but women could easily solve this problem. I find it difficult to believe that over 42 million women last year, and every year, knowing the consequences are incapable of saying no or using birth control of one type or another. It’s the knowing the consequences part that makes it difficult to comprehend. Committing murder must not be considered much of a consequence.

Abortion was the number one cause of human death worldwide in 2019 by far, with over 42 million killed.

There have been 42.4 million abortions in 2019 as of December 31st, according to Worldometers, an organization that keeps a running tally of major world statistics and was recognized as one of the best free reference websites by the American Library Association (ALA). Worldometers calculates abortion numbers based on the latest statistics published by the World Health Organization (WHO).

As Worldometers notes:

According to WHO, every year in the world there are an estimated 40-50 million abortions. This corresponds to approximately 125,000 abortions per day.

In the USA, where nearly half of pregnancies are unintended and four in 10 of these are terminated by abortion, there are over 3,000 abortions per day. Twenty-two percent of all pregnancies in the USA (excluding miscarriages) end in abortion.

🔦 The 42.4 million deaths from abortion in 2019 was more than twice the number of all worldwide deaths caused by cancer, smoking, alcohol, traffic accidents, malaria, and HIV/AIDS combined.
