Adiaphora & Binding the Conscience

By on Aug 18, 2020

In Christianity, adiaphora means that something is debatable, spiritually neutral.  There are essentials of the Christian faith such as the deity of Christ, monotheism, Christ’s physical resurrection, etc.  But there are also topics that deal with issues that are non-essentials.  So in a general sense, adiaphora means those Christian teachings which are neutral, things that are neither commanded nor forbidden in Scripture. Littlejohn, MacArthur, and the Binding of Conscience Introduction Shortly after John MacArthur announced the stand that Grace Community was taking with regard to Gov. Newsom’s shutdowneries, to wit, that they were going to worship the Lord anyhow, despite the mandate forbidding it, Brad Littlejohn wrote a lengthy response in which he argued that the principles appealed to by MacArthur were overdone, underdeveloped, and misapplied. They...

NYC as you never saw it. This is absolutely amazing.

I wonder why this hasn’t made the news. This is midtown Manhatten. This video is absolutely amazing. All I can say is what the heck is wrong with the people of NY that they elect people that allow this to take place. And what is the purpose of destroying an entire city? A city that was perhaps the greatest city in the world? Stunning two minutes. Don't know who recorded it but I downloaded this yesterdayHe's single handedly wrecked ManhattanGhost town"Beirut DeBlasio" without the explosion pic.twitter.com/5I48ZGcWTZ— tadgermania (@tadgermania) August 7,...

Imagine what your government does to ordinary people. How can anyone believe anything they say?

The Washington Post ran an op-ed on Aug. 12, 2020, titled “Barr wants Michael Flynn’s charged dropped. Judges should be able to question that.” It is a perfect example of deliberate deception and obfuscation from a major news outlet. @SidneyPowell1 @GenFlynn THREAD pic.twitter.com/1fbrayt0Gr— Molly McCann (@molmccann) August 15, 2020 19/ Clearly, the Washington Post will say what it takes to downplay or attempt to completely hide the truth from the American people. In that pursuit, the Post will be unsuccessful. Justice and truth will prevail.🇺🇸⭐️⭐️⭐️— Molly McCann (@molmccann) August 15, 2020 Read the entire thread here: President Obama and His VP Biden Were Involved in the Coup Against President Trump – General Flynn Was a Target – The MSM Is Covering It...

What the hell is going on?

You should be very afraid especially if you have children. If you are not paying attention and are fool enough to send them to public school than you deserve what you get. And what you are going to get you will not understand. If you can’t get past your police problem at least ask yourself why WATCHING THE NEWS is so important that you are a racist if you don’t. Pennsylvania District Mandates White Supremacy Lessons for Kindergartners Wealthy school district says supporting cops, not watching news is racist Chrissy Clark – August 11, 2020 4:30 PM Elementary school children returning to a wealthy Pennsylvania classroom in the fall will learn that sympathizing with police officers is racist. No one can possibly be this stupid.

August 10, 2020 CNN takes first place in the ‘total lack of self-awareness’ category By Andrea Widburg One of the givens in modern American politics is that the media despise President Trump.  Except for Fox News, which gives him a fair shake, the rest of the American media have a hatred so intense that, no matter the story, they have to give it an anti-Trump twist. No wonder jokes circulate that if Trump announced he’d found a cure for cancer, the media would instantly lambaste him for taking work away from doctors.  That’s why it was so funny to see Brian Stelter and a guest applaud themselves for their fair-mindedness. We already know that journalists hew left — way, way left.  Of those American journalists who donated to a presidential candidate in 2016, well over 96% donated to Hillary Clinton.  As a general...

And these are the ‘smart’ people?

I’m ashamed to say I attended both the institutions of ‘higher learning’ mentioned in this article. In the 70’s when I was a freshman at Rutgers English 101 & 102 were mandatory. As recently as 20 years ago when my wife attended Rutgers ALL students, even transfer students such as herself, with the need for just a few credits to graduate, had to take English 101 & 102. That is how much emphasis and importance they placed on being able to write and speak in a manner that could be understood. Clearly, the present head(fool) of the “ENGLISH Department” must not have understood the story of the Tower of Babel. At Princeton the academics were slightly more rigorous given the competition which had been somewhat diluted at Rutgers due to affirmative action (I am sorry to say). None the less the professors were top notch if not a bit snooty but the...
