Stupid cannot be fixed by stupider.

Here is the big picture in this story – 8 year olds do not their ass from a hole in the ground and if the coach and the parents don’t know that they should all be relieved of their duty. BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Every player on the Cahokia Quarterback Club football team (8 and under) took a knee during the national anthem ahead of Sunday’s game at Little Devil’s Field in Belleville. “One of the kids asked me if I saw (people) protesting and rioting in St. Louis. I said yes; I said, ‘Do you know why they are doing it?’” said Coach Orlando Gooden. Coach Gooden said his player responded, “Because black people are getting killed and nobody’s going to jail.” Gooden, who played football at Mizzou, said the kids knew about the Jason Stockley decision. “I felt like it was a good teaching moment for me to circle the team and have a meeting,” he said. The coach said he...

White supremacy?

By on Sep 19, 2017

Reading the articles below I cannot help but think of what I have titled this post, white supremacy, for is that not what the miscreants that would destroy this country call civility and virtue?  “what else might you call this bundle of traditional values: honesty, fidelity, thrift, temperance, punctuality, fortitude, gratitude, dedication, kindness, loyalty, et cetera?” – so asks James Kuntsler of what Amy and Larry propose as the solution for what ails American society today. A killer are Amy’s credentials. Clearly bordering on if not an outright genius she has attained, at least academically and by the standard those on the left claim it unfair that all cannot achieve, a level of achievement her critics can only salivate over and were she making their inane argument these same critics would be holding her up as a type of Jung. Yet, because she proposes a...

How much more plainly can it be said?

By on Sep 19, 2017

As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed. For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ. – Gal.1:9-10 I don’t know how this verse does not scare certain “pastors” and/or “priests” half to death. The fact that it doesn’t really informs us that they do not know the Lord. But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace,  was pleased to reveal his Son to me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles, – Gal 1:15-16 How clear a statement of election does one want? How clear a picture of grace, of regeneration, of man having no part in his salvation? – Called by grace. Pleased to reveal his...

No better example of imagination vs thinking than St. Louis.

By on Sep 17, 2017

What goes through a person’s mind who decides to lead the police on a mile speed chase through city streets and when finally stopped does not listen to what the police are telling him? Does that person think they are going to get away? Do they think they are Bonnie and Clyde? Do they think they are above the law? Do they think the police will not shoot them is they threaten them? Well, it certainly must be one of these things or a combination and none of these things are thinking. Same for the protestors. Do they think this man was shot simply because he was black? Do they think destroying property accomplishes anything but blight their own neighborhood or that it will cause the judge to change his mind? Do they think the next time a person commits a criminal act and the police are looking to arrest him they will not shoot the guy if he threatens him? Do they honestly believe...

Beautiful dissection of UC Berkley baby murderer by Ben Shapiro

By on Sep 16, 2017

Student: Umm, my question was about abortion and I just wanted to know why exactly do you think a first trimester fetus has moral value. Shapiro: Okay, so a first trimester fetus has moral value because whether you consider it a potential human life or a full-on human life it has more value than just a cluster of cells. If left to its natural processes it will grow into a baby. So the real question is ‘where do you draw the line?’ So are you gonna draw the line at the heartbeat? Because it’s very hard to draw the line at the heartbeat because there are people who are adults who are alive because of a pacemaker and they need some sort of outside force generating their heartbeat. Okay are you gonna do it based on brain function? Okay well what about people who are in a coma? Should we just kill them? Right, the problem is anytime you draw any line other than the inception of the child,...

The difference between imagination and thinking.

By on Sep 16, 2017

This is what I try to explain to my children. Imagination and thinking are not the same thing. In fact, there is a huge difference between the two. To explain it in the simplest terms, thinking takes place in the brain while imagination takes place in the heart. Now, of course the heart doesn’t think but the emotions that form or drive the thoughts originate in the heart and not the head. And sadly, this is how the vast, vast majority of the world functions. Lead by their emotions they IMAGINE the way they want things to be, actually, in many cases, believing they are reality. Seeing things that aren’t there, hearing things that were not said, they construct a fantasy world and then are shocked when their imagined outcome does not come to pass. This goes a long way to explaining the misery people live and the almost daily disappointment they experience. It is also what is...
