Justice Department: 45% of Blacks at Harvard Admitted Through Illegal Race Preferences By J. Christian Adams February 25, 2020 (Banner photos courtesy of the Project on Fair Representation) Almost half of all blacks and Hispanics who attend Harvard were admitted because of illegal racial preferences in admissions according to a brief just filed by the Department of Justice. The Department of Justice filed the brief in a federal lawsuit filed by Students For Fair Admissions. It says Harvard’s race-based admissions process violates federal law. This filing marks an extreme departure from the Obama Civil Rights Division that spent significant time and resources seeking to expand the use of race in decision making. The brief says Harvard “considers applicants’ race at virtually every step, from rating applicants to winnowing the field of applicants when attempting to avoid an...

A level of idiocy in academe that is hard to believe.

So “woke” they are asleep or we wish they were. They appear to be in a coma. We shouldn’t be surprised, almost all the worst ideas begin on college campuses and with academics or idiot students. And the more so called ‘intellectual’ the establishment the more absurd the ideas but then George Orwell said that best, “There are some ideas so absurd that only an intellectual could believe them.” Yale Cancels Prestigious Art History Course For Being “Too White” A story and “justification” so absurd and absolutely bonkers that we sincerely wish this was The Onion and not from the oldest college daily newspaper in the United States and at one of the nation’s most elite Ivy League schools: Yale will stop teaching a storied introductory survey course in art history, citing the impossibility of adequately covering the entire field — and...

It is hard to comprehend this level of stupidity.

You talk about a bastion of idiocy. I wonder how many Native American liz warrens they can hire with $135 MILLION just for recruiting? We don’t want the most qualified we want the queerest and the most color diverse faculty because that is the student body we strive to attract and we want them to feel at home. We don’t really care if they learn anything we just care that they are not triggered while in attendance. I can’t imagine how many fraudulent applications they now receive from incoming freshman claiming to be transexual Inuits identifying as homosexual lesbian men. Not to worry though as this great institution of learning is searching for faculty to make them not feel alone. Yale is spending $135 million on one diversity initiative. How much is it spending university-wide? Addison Smith – Liberty University •January 21, 2020 Nobody can apparently sayYale...

Who would ever send their child to schools run by such idiots?

Oregon State U. to put feminine hygiene products in restrooms ‘regardless of gender’ Dave Huber – Assistant Editor •January 20, 2020   Oregon State University will begin putting free feminine hygiene products in campus building restrooms this winter term “regardless of gender.” The Memorial Union and Student Experience Center will be the first to get the products, thanks to a student government initiative The Daily Barometer reports. Associated Students of Oregon State University Queer Affairs Coordinator Julian Chu said the decision was based on “fulfill[ing] the needs of people that have a menstruation without discriminating by gender and those who cannot afford personal hygiene products.” To those new to The College Fix, Chu is referencing transgender men who, as biological women, still get their periods. And because tampons and pads allegedly are expensive, Chu says the free...

Second LGBT student joins suit against Fuller Theological Seminary after getting expelled for entering into same-sex marriages What did they expect? Last November, a student at Fuller Theological Seminary — the nation’s largest interdenominational seminary — sued the school for discrimination after she was expelled for marrying another woman. Now, another former student is joining the lawsuit. In the amended complaint filed Tuesday, Nathan Brittsan, an American Baptist Churches USA pastor, joined Joanna Maxon in requesting the school award them more than $1 million each to compensate for damages, Christianity Today reported. What are the details? According to the report, Brittsan received his letter of dismissal two days before beginning his first classes when school administrators discovered his same-sex marriage following his request to change his last name. Maxon filed the...

The John Finnis Line In The Sand Prof. John Finnis (Notre Dame School of Law) January 8, 2019 Rod Dreher In September 2016, one of the living giants of Christian scholarship, the Oxford emeritus philosopher Richard Swinburne, gave an address to the Midwest Society of Christian Philosophers, in the US. He spoke about Christian sexual ethics. In an aside — meaning this wasn’t the main topic of his talk — he affirmed the orthodox Christian view that homosexuality is morally wrong. For this, he was denounced by some Christian philosophers in the audience, and the head of the group quickly apologized for the keynote speaker, Swinburne, affirming Christian orthodoxy in an address to Christian philosophers. I wrote about it here.  It is scandalous that a leading Christian philosopher cannot state an orthodox Christian position — something that all Christians affirmed until the day before...
