What goes through a person’s mind who decides to lead the police on a mile speed chase through city streets and when finally stopped does not listen to what the police are telling him? Does that person think they are going to get away? Do they think they are Bonnie and Clyde? Do they think they are above the law? Do they think the police will not shoot them is they threaten them? Well, it certainly must be one of these things or a combination and none of these things are thinking. Same for the protestors. Do they think this man was shot simply because he was black? Do they think destroying property accomplishes anything but blight their own neighborhood or that it will cause the judge to change his mind? I really can’t understand what provokes people to do something like this. Did this guy not like his job – though I will note he has not been fired or resigned from his brain-washing position at the college and that is far more disturbing. In fact, escaping politics may be one of the biggest reason people watch football so when the league allows it to take center stage – well, the results are very predictable. Apparently not to the wizards of smart who run football, they prefer to blame hurricanes. How do you make enough money to own a NFL team if you are that stupid? This is what I try to explain to my children. Imagination and thinking are not the same thing. In fact, there is a huge difference between the two. To explain it in the simplest terms, thinking takes place in the brain while imagination takes place in the heart. Now, of course the heart doesn’t think but the emotions that form or drive the thoughts originate in the heart and not the head. And sadly, this is how the vast, vast majority of the world functions. Lead by their emotions they IMAGINE the way they want things to be, actually, in many cases, believing they are reality.
