if we were ever able to get Nancy or any of these people to tell the absolute truth do you really believe anyone believes this?

The city is “blessed”? Do they know what the word means? Please tell me how the city is blessed. Can it be by another line of her speech?

What the heck does that mean? The fact that none of it means anything is the point isn’t it? Patronizing platitudes, they are all she knows but worse, they are all her audience wants to hear. You may see the speech here but the speech is not the point. The point is the vapid meaninglessness of the dispensing vessel and the vacuous selfishness of the the receiving. A speaker and an audience with but one care between them – ME.
Do you think any of them ever read and if they have read have ever meditated on Luke 20:45-47?

I’ll tell you, if I were a lawmaker or a judge or a pastor or a teacher I would be scared to death. But then, I believe the bible is the Word of God and it is abundantly clear that those who believe they are “blessed” by being surrounded by sinners clearly don’t.
